Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I hope you've been enjoying the day. Kaya and I didn't do too much. We had a small dinner with Kit, Madeleine and Addy. It was nice. Now Kaya and I are just relaxing. Kaya's reading a magazine and has Zip on her lap. Licorice and Pounce are sleeping on the floor.

I just wanted to say that I'm thankful for my family, my friends, the wonderful doll town I live in, my kitties, my toys, a warm home...I'm thankful for Missy and Grandlinda...and I'm thankful for everyone who reads and likes this blog :)

10 Days til' Thanksgiving; 39 Days til' Christmas (and my birthday)

It's hard to believe it's mid-November already. Pretty soon Thanksgiving will be here and then Christmas (which also happens to be my birthday :) ). I'm not yet sure what to get Kaya. Maybe I'll make her something. I also have no clue what I'm doing, birthday-wise. Probably nothing much. I love having my birthday on Christmas...though sometimes I wish it were on an ordinary day instead of such a big holiday. There's so much hustle and bustle during the holidays and whatnot. Still, a Christmas birthday is nice-and Christmas itself is one of my favorite holidays, too. So I'm lucky to share my birthday with it.

Anyway, I'm just sitting here, in my Lizzie McGuire PJs, with my kitten, Zip, on my lap, purring. He's so adorable!

Have any of you begun listening to Christmas music yet? I have. I love Christmas music and even sometimes get in a mood to listen to some in say, the summer. I think Kaya and I are going to get our decorations out soon, too. I'm really waiting for the first snow to stick, so I can really get into the spirit :).

Trick or Treating

So...last night was Halloween. If you're wondering what I went as, well the holiday present that my cousin, Kit, told me to add to my poll, won...great... I wasn't really wanting to be it. Anyway, Kit helped me make my costume last-minute. She and Kaya both said I looked cute. I wasn't feeling cute and was almost mortified when we went to Madamoiselle Ann's house, first. She told me not to be embarrassed (something which the other adults in town echoed). In the end I wound up having fun trick or treating as always. I got some nice compliments on my costume and while it's still not in my favorites list, I have to admit that it grew on me a bit. I'm a Christmas birthday girl, too, so it fit well.

Kaya went as a Fall leaf and had a pretty mask; she borrowed Josefina's summer dress to wear. Halfway through, we met up and walked with Hallie and Molly J. I got some nice goodies, like a bracelet, a little grim ghosty (not sure if it's really a ghost or not. To me, it looks like a black ghost with a red tie and is cute) and of course candy.

I also entered the AGPT costume contest for Creative Use of Materials.

Here's a pic of me in my costume:

T. Haley's Visit, Along with T. Sophie and T. Ruthie

Hi guys,

A few weeks ago, Haley visited us. First she had a detour in CT. While she visited, she went to the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion and Yankee Candle (it's like a tradition that Missy and Grandlinda take the traveling dolls there). She was here, along with Traveling Sophie and Traveling Ruthie, at one point. That's the most travelers we've had at one time! Haley, Sopie and Ruthie also went apple-picking and to the Keene Pumpkin Fest. Likewise, Haley and Ruthie took a trip to AGB-B.

Haley, Kirsten and Samantha also made some ghosts pops which Kirsten says she'll post about soon (she and Peter haven't been feeling well the past few days and even missed out on trick or treating last night.

Anyway, sorry I didn't get around to posting these when Haley was here. She left here on the 20th and Sophie left on the 27th (Ruthie's here until the Winter Fest). Here is Haley's album as well as one from their AGB trip, apple-picking the three travlers did, and the Pumpkin Fest.
